Tracy Montarti

South Hills

Tracy Montarti, of Dormont, PA was the recipient of the Woman’s Business Network, Inc. (WBN) 2019 Service Award.  This honor is awarded annually to one member who has distinguished herself by meritorious service in the furthering of WBN, its mission and goals.

Originally from Southern California, Tracy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz. She went on to Joshua Tree National Park helping to take care of their museum collections before spending two years in Poland as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching high school English and doing community development work in the areas of education and women’s health.  In 1997, Tracy moved to Pittsburgh to attend graduate school as a Peace Corps Fellow at Duquesne University (Social and Public Policy) and Carnegie Mellon (Public Administration).  She then worked in various capacities with Pittsburgh’s non-profit community dealing with environmental, sustainability, and historic preservation issues.

While at Duquesne, she met and married her husband Eric, and has since made a home in Pittsburgh with her family. Once her second child was born, she returned to her childhood love of photography, while continuing to help with local community development initiatives. For the last 13 years, as Owner of Villa Montarti Photography, she has been helping families capture their love and connection for generations to come.

Tracy has been a member of WBN for four years.  She is currently a member of the South Hills Chapter and serves on the WBN Board of Directors.
