GIVING BACK

WBN Annual Service Project

Each year, WBN chooses a deserving organization for its annual service project. Chapters may submit an application on behalf of an organization they feel would benefit from some type of active participation from our WBN members. Throughout the year, different activities/fundraising opportunities for the service project take place.

A call for applications takes place annually. Learn more about the application requirements.

How To Help

Locally, the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter hosts events such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is the world’s largest fundraiser dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer’s. Each of our chapters will focus on fundraising efforts through friendly competition in support of the walk, which takes place on October 18th, 2025. The annual walk is vital to the nonprofit’s mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through research, care, support, and advocacy. The goal is for each chapter to raise $1,000.

The goal can be achieved in a variety of ways, including raising funds through chapter-led events, individual donations, and corporate sponsorships.

Michelle Kinzel, service project liaison, will host a kick-off party at her house in Munhall on July 23rd from 6pm-8pm. Anyone who wants to learn more is welcome to attend. RSVP to Michelle at 412-720-0287
