The Seven Fields Chapter had its first meeting in February 2008 and currently has more than 20 members. The rapid growth can be attributed to the enthusiasm of these professional business women. The Chapter meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month from 8:30AM-9:45AM at the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility on Rt. 228 in Mars, PA. At each meeting, all present including guests, give their "60 second commercial" regarding their business. There is also a feature presentation by a member regarding the specifics of her business for 20 minutes followed by a table topic presentation by a member for 10 minutes. Table topics are general in nature and have included napkin folding, books for success recommendations, how to listen, stress reduction brainstorming and many others.
Even though we are a young chapter, we jumped on board with a service project of not only providing dinner for the residents of the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh but grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken. Homemade desserts and salads as well as other items rounded out the menu and the joy on the residents’ faces said it all with a big THANK YOU!
A networking event was held recently at a member\’s home where WBN members from four chapters were present. Again the food and networking opportunities were just wonderful.
As we grow as a Chapter, we will continue to look to our members for support and ideas to foster our opportunities both in our businesses and the community.
