WBN Woman of the Year

Margaret “Peggy” Bianchi (Norwin Chapter)

Margaret “Peggy” Bianchi of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, was the recipient of the Women’s Business Network Inc. (WBN) Woman of the Year Award.  This honor is awarded to one member annually and recognizes the individual who has best demonstrated excellence and leadership in her business or profession and in her service to the community and to WBN. 

Peggy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975, and completed a Masters of Public Management at Carnegie Mellon University in 1995.  Currently, she is the Director of Women’s Physical  Therapy a Stellar Physical Therapy, an out-patient rehab facility located in Murrysville.  She is also a certified Pilates instructor who incorporates Pilates into her treatment protocols for back and neck pain, as well as, teaching Pilates mat classes at Inner Strength Yoga in North Huntingdon.  She believes in treating the “whole” body and meets the patient’s needs by providing one-on-one direct care.  

Since 1997 Peggy has been an active member of the Norwin Chapter of WBN.  She is currently serving on the organization’s Board of Directors as Past President and is temporarily filling in as the Member Services Coordinator.  She is a member of St. Agnes Church in North Huntingdon, serving as the Fundraising Chair for the Christian Mothers & Ladies Guild, organizing the Pick-A-Flower Campaign that supports The Blackburn Center Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, and participates in the Comfort Blanket and Prayer Shawl Ministries.  In her spare time, she enjoys doing needle arts, golfing, snow skiing and spending time with her husband, Bill.

This year’s Award was presented at the WBN Annual Dinner held on May 3rd.  WBN was founded in 1989 and has over 360 members in 23 chapters located across Southwestern Pennsylvania.  WBN’s mission is to provide personal and professional resources to advance the presence of aspiring and successful businesswomen.  For more information visit www.wbninc.com.
