2015 Woman of the Year
Janet Gledich, of Shaler Township, was the recipient of the Women’s Business Network’s (WBN) 2015 Woman of the Year Award. This honor is awarded to one member annually and recognizes the individual who has best demonstrated excellence and leadership in her business or profession and in her service to the community and to WBN.
For the last twelve years, Ms.
Gledich has been a consultant with The Pampered Chef. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of the company’s tools and products through cooking shows, vendor fairs, fund raising and catalog shows. She loves all of the aspects of her job and benefits from the opportunity that the company offers through various training and conferences to expand her knowledge and sales skills.
Janet has been a member of the North Hills Chapter of WBN for six years. She is also a long standing member of the Daughters of the Nile, which is an international woman’s fraternal organization. This organization’s philanthropy is to assist the Shriners Hospitals for Children with their 22 hospitals in North America and Mexico. Funds are raised to provide increased support for the burn and orthopedic care treatment, research, therapy and rehabilitative services for any child regardless of his/her ability to pay. Janet has been working with this organization for the last 23 years and in 1996 was honored with the title of Queen for her local chapter/temple.
In her spare time Janet enjoys doing needlework, sewing, quilting and knitting. She has been married to her husband Charles for over 30 years and they have two children and one grandson.
This year’s Award was presented at the WBN Annual Dinner held on May 7th at Stratigo’s Banquet Centre in North Huntingdon. WBN was founded in 1989 and has over 400 members in 24 chapters located across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
