2012 Woman of the Year
Donna M. Cheswick of Harrison City PA was the recipient of the Women’s Business Network’s (WBN) 2012 Woman of the Year Award. This honor is awarded to one member annually and recognizes the individual who has best demonstrated excellence and leadership in her business or profession and in her service to the community and to WBN.
Ms. Cheswick is a graduate of Duquesne University and has spent her 25-year career in the financial services industry. Since 2003 she has been an Assistant Vice President/Financial Advisor with BPU Investment Management Inc. in Greensburg. Ms. Cheswick provides clients with a diverse set of investment and retirement planning skills focused on helping clients fulfill long-term financial needs and goals. She is also a Certified Divorce Financial AnalystTM and works with divorcing individuals and their attorneys to help them understand the financial implications of alternative settlement proposals and what financial data may be needed for their case. Ms. Cheswick also frequently writes articles related to financial planning and divorce for local and national print and online media.
Ms. Cheswick serves as a volunteer for several local networking and community organizations. She is Publicity Director for Women’s Business Network Inc. and is an active member of the Norwin Chapter, serving in various leadership positions in the organization since 2003. She also co-facilitates Business Women Connect a monthly women’s networking group. Ms. Cheswick is a member of the Westmoreland and Norwin Chamber of Commerces, member of the Institute for Divorce Financial AnalystsTM, member of Pittsburgh Professional Women and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA of Westmoreland) Volunteer for children suffering from abuse and/or neglect. A lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, Ms. Cheswick resides in Penn Township with her husband and two teenage boys.
Women’s Business Network has over 400 members from Southwestern Pennsylvania and is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build an effective organization of women business owners and professionals committed to the integrity of performance and service, as well as, the creative exchange of business.
