2013 Service Award

The Service Award is awarded to a member who greatly distinguished herself by meritorious service in the furthering of WBN, it’s mission and goals.

Veronica Burnsworth (Cranberry Chapter)

Veronica Burnsworth, of Center Township PA was recently honored by Women’s Business Network, Inc. (WBN) as Service Woman of the Year. Ms. Burnsworth is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from La Roche College with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphics & Communications Design and a Minor in Marketing. With 11 years experience as a Graphic and Web Designer, Veronica currently works for Jer-Vic, Inc. as their Marketing Director, Creative Director and Designer. Jer-Vic, Inc. is a one stop shop providing advertising, branding and web tools to move businesses to the next level. They create company personality, image and presence to help clients maintain and understand the value of branding.

Veronica is an active member of the WBN – Cranberry Chapter and also serves on the Board of Directors as the Corresponding Secretary. In addition she is the Chair of the Technology Committee and the Web master for the WBN website. She also is the Graphic Design Chair for Think Pink / Links of Love Foundation and the Web Master for Pittsburgh Referral Exchange of Cranberry. In addition, Veronica spends time as a volunteer self defense instructor for S.O.T.A. Martial Arts, teaches practical self defense skills to Women’s Centers and other local women’s organizations and is an avid runner participating in over 40 races each year that support charities benefiting women and children.

This year’s Service Award was presented at the WBN Annual Dinner held on May 2nd at the Montour Country Club in Coraopolis. Women’s Business Network was founded in 1989 and has over 450 members in 29 chapters located across Southwestern Pennsylvania. WBN’s mission is to provide personal and professional resources to advance the presence of aspiring and successful businesswomen.
