2014 Jean Walsh Scholarship

carolyn_klasnick2014 Annual Jean Walsh Scholarship AwardCarolyn Klasnick, of Peters Township, Pennsylvania, was chosen as the recipient of the Women’s Business Network (WBN) 2014 Jean Walsh Scholarship Award. She will be applying the scholarship grant to enroll in the MyBusiness Growth program at the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University which is customized to help her strategically position her business for additional growth and expansion.

After graduating from Elon University with a BA in Broadcast Communications, Ms. Klasnick moved back home to the South Hills of Pittsburgh and started a video production company, Post Script Productions, LLC, with her partner, Michele Hammerbacher. Their mission is to grow into a team of passionate, creative storytellers producing engaging films that move hearts and minds. Their team works with a wide variety of clients including non-profit organizations, a mission in Haiti, power plants and weddings up and down the East Coast. They recently moved into a new location in the South Side of Pittsburgh and launched a new brand and website.

Carolyn served a three year term on the Young Alumni Council for her alma mater immediately following graduation. She also started the Elon University Pittsburgh Alumni Club and currently serves as President. She is a member of the WBN – South Hills Chapter, a member of the International Special Events Society, and also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair, where she serves as both a media consultant and a Confirmation mentor to female Confirmands.

In her spare time she enjoys being with family and friends, attending Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games, traveling, attending Pure Barre classes and eating at new and unique restaurants around the Pittsburgh area.
